Trimesters?

I am 13.4 today with our first baby and so excited! ❤️🌈 I always have thought 13 weeks is officially the second trimester but some of my apps are saying 14 weeks? What do most people think? I find when talking to friend and family they all say end of 12 week.

Higher blood pressure

I’ve come back from my 25 week midwife appointment and my blood pressure has increased from 120 to 140 over 67 (give or take) so I need to go back again in two weeks. Has anyone has this? I imagine it’s quite common but also it could lead to a higher risk of pre eclampsia although very rare in second trimester.

Period 🩸

My bloody friend has arrived this morning at 6 weeks and 4 days postpartum 😱😮! I was expecting it to be a longer wait tbh, I’m not breastfeeding which slows it down apparently, how long was it until your period arrived after birth?

If you had pre-eclampsia or HELLP syndrome during your pregnancy or labor did you have it again in future pregnancies?

Comment if your dr told you future pregnancies would be automatically considered high risk or not.

Constant Anxiety

Does anyone else live in constant fear and anxiety that something will be wrong with your baby or you will have a miscarriage? I usually avoid these topics because they scare the crap out of me. I'm a FTM and I never had a miscarriage that I know of. I know statistics tell me I'm out of the red of the first trimeste...

Hunger in first trimester

Did anyone else constantly feel SO hungry in their first trimester? Everyone says they can’t eat/constantly feel or are being sick but I’m the opposite. The only time I feel nauseas is when I’m hungry which is often! I’m 10 weeks and have already put on 3kg, I can’t stop eating & all I want to eat is rubbish/take...

1st trimester

Please tell me how you survived your first trimester. I’m trying my hardest to keep on top of every day life, look after my toddler and work but I’m constantly drained and feel so sick 24/7 Although I’m not actually being sick the nausea is stopping me from eating so I’ve just got nothing in my system apart from ...

Glucose test!

I’ve done my research and personally I don’t want to take the classic glucose test that they give you normally, I’ve asked to do the fresh test or anything else but my doctor said no. Recently I discovered finger pricking is an option frequently used. Has any mommas done this instead of the glucose drink? if so plea...

Water before a GTT?

Has anyone ever been refused a Glucose Tolerance Test for having drank only water in the fasting period? I had read the information on NHS site which stated water is allowed but was told by hospital staff today this is wrong and I was sent away to come back at another stage. I’m 34 weeks pregnant with my first, jugg...

Glucose in urine?

Has anyone else had glucose in their urine at 25 weeks and been referred for a glucose test at the hospital? Mine showed 3+++ and I'm terrified now as the midwife said gestational diabetes can cause birth defects
