8 months old

Hi, I’m going on holiday to Egypt with my baby when he will be 8 months old. Please can you tell me what food and milk your 8 months old drinks? Will he be able to eat fruit etc from the all inclusive? Will he still be drinking a lot of milk?

Vitamins

Has anyone managed to find vitamins that their children like the taste of? We've currently got the abidec ones (bright yellow liquid) but my little one just spits out as much as he can of it whenever he has it. Are there any that actually have a nice flavour to them?

Hidden veg

Hello, does anyone have any recommendations for some meals with hidden veggies in? I could do with some ideas that aren't for pasta sauces 🤦‍♀️

Dinner for my 10 month old!

Broccoli mac and cheese, sweet potato and carrot purée and natural yogurt with half an orange juiced into it. Not sure if it’s teething by my baby has completely gone off eating solids and wants to be spoon fed again? Hence a more spoonable meal. Has this happened to anyone else?

Increase in appetite

Anyone else noticed their baby eating loads more food since turning 1? I feel like I’m feeding my baby snacks every few hours in between meals and naps 🫠. He eats SO much. Do I have to be worried about over feeding at this age or just encourage it? Everything is home cooked and balanced so not worried about him…

What do you do?

What you do if a stranger offered food to your little one and you wanted to say no. P.s I am a people pleaser but I tried saying no but the man kept persisting. I’ll throw in the bin later.

Baby gone off food

I wondered if anyone is having the same situation, my little girl will no longer eat anything that I give her. She is just refusing anything that I make. She has always been a really good eater and never refused anything. I am at a loss as what to do.

Juice or flavoured drinks

(Just posting in two different groups so ignore if you responded already) Hey mamas When did you start giving your child juice, whether organic or those that says “for kids”. Or even squash ( the one mixed with water) I know they say it’s better not give them sugar until 3, or even 5yo. But I see some paren...

Hey mamas When did you start giving your child juice, whether organic or those that says “for kids”. Or even squash ( the one mixed with water) I know they say it’s better not give them sugar until 3, or even 5yo. But I see some parents giving their child who’s around 2.

Picky eating replacements

If your child is a picky eater, decides they no longer eat what seems like everything, however there are very few things they will eat, what do you do for meals? My son has decided to go off his carbs, he will eat pasta though, his getting a bit funny with his meat and fish also.. no issues with veggies. So when I...

Tablets for toddlers.

I’m curious how do you feel about letting your 3 year old have a tablet? My partner is super against them, but I feel like it’s hell sometimes going out for a meal or an appointment that overruns and I feel they would be ideal to use them at those times.. do you think it’s a bad idea!

Pram help

I need advice. I’m sure I won’t be the only one in this position. My LO only likes to walk not but sometimes he’s too slow, refuses to go in the right direction, or it’s simply not safe. However when I have to get him in the pram he kicks off. So I’m down to bribery…. (no judging if you’re not in this position pl...

Venting!!! We're behind on introducing new foods because our baby has had allergic reactions.

So far, she has reacted to pears, apples, and prunes, and upon further research, those are all fruits in the rosaceae family. We've been avoiding other fruits in that family, but unfortunately, that includes cherries, peaches, strawberries, raspberries, apricots, olives, and blackberries. It also includes almonds, w...
