Solids?

I’m currently giving my 8 month old 2 meals and a snack per day. Hoping to increase to 3 meals per day by 9 months. Wondering how often are you feeding (solids) your baby?

BLW noob

Hello! My LO will be turning 6 months in 2 weeks. She has tried mashed banana and pureed carrots and will have her try strawberries this week. I really want to do BLW. How did you do it? Did you give her 1 type of food at a time or can be assorted per plate? For example, eggs + avocado + strawberries.

Time Outs?

For those who believe in time out as a discipline when will you or did you start? My son is very very smart and I feel like time outs will be good for him since he gets over whelmed very fast so it’ll work for us but I don’t know if he understands the concept of bad behavior to time time out yet. We tried tonight he...

Recording devices in childcare

Does your childcare have cameras or audio recording devices installed? If not, what is your opinion on this? I am very surprised that I am unable to monitor how the teachers treat my child when I’m not around.

Question

For those that have been homeschooling for longer, what has helped to get kids to write nicer instead of chicken scratch? I need help for my 7 year old boy! Do you get them to just do tracing over and over?

Cry baby

My 19 month old is sooooo clingy and so very moody all the time. I do everything I can to bring happiness and joy and just feel like I’m failing as a mama. If I don’t pick him up, he cries. If I dont let him do something, so upset. Hella teeth. Some daycare sickness on repeat. Is this just navigating feelings and “...

Is this a bad sign?

So I just toured a private daycare for my 1 year old. It seemed great, the woman who ran it was really nice and knowledgeable. However, as my baby was crawling around on the floor I see her heading towards a rusty open safety pin. I handed it to the daycare owner who said “oh dear” and continued telling us about the...

Miracle!

My husband used to be a bad alcoholic before we got together. It caused his last marriage to split. He fell back into it while I was pregnant and so I left. He is now sober and we are back together. He was verbally abusive when I was pregnant but he had shown me he changed when I came back. These last few days he ha...

Mold found in dashboard of car

Long read but would love advice 🙏🏼 We purchased a BRAND NEW GMC Yukon XL in Dec 2021 from a GMC dealership. The first day we brought the vehicle home in broke down in the road when my husband was shuffling cars in the driveway. We had to call a tow truck and it ended up being a transmission board issue. About 6…

My toddler doesn’t want to go to daycare

I am not sure what I should do. Since a few weeks my toddler boy doesn’t want to go to daycare. He is crying hysterically and says that he is scared. I usually hold him for a while and “bribe” him (he can take a car, he can pick a song, making a game out of going to the car) to get into the car. Once we are there he...

Rage episode

I’ve been depressed for years and it’s been more intense since having baby. Last night I had a horrible rage episode after and exchange of not so kind words with my bf. He’s about twice my size and I said something unkind about it. But in return he said he wanted to smother me and that I was replaceable. I was upset...

Baby vomited while having lunch 😞

How can I teach my baby to chew and put small amounts of food in the mouth? He vomited while eating puffs, and I saw big pieces of food like he was not chewing enough. I never leave him alone but I look and thought he was chewing well.
