Step children Vs your own for Christmas presents

Myself and my partner have a baby daughter and he has a 12 year old from a previous relationship. We have said we weren't going to spend much on baby for Christmas, but he has already spent over £200 on his other child. Is this just something I need to accept or should something be mentioned?

Feeling lonely and overwhelmed today, very tearful.

So I don’t even know why I’m here writing this as I know there’s no solution but I’m just so overwhelmed today and haven’t stopped crying. My partner is away with work this week and next. I’m a first time mum to a gorgeous boy of 6 months. He’s a Velcro baby which I kinda love but I literally can’t do a thing withou...

Milk alternative

Just found out, as my son turns 1, that he is intolerant to dairy, oat, coconut... among many many more 😭 I always suspected, but doctors dismissed all of his symptoms. I'm having major mum guilt right now for not pushing and giving him a regular cows milk formula for so long. Doctors won't prescribe him any milk…

Is anyone else’s child like this??

My little one is 2 in December and she’s so weird with food. If I cut fruit up and put it in a bowl or on a plate, she won’t eat it. If I put it in a small pot, sometimes she’ll eat it. However at her grandparents when they give her a small pot of fruit she eats it no problem. I was always told to show them when you...

Cleaning

My house is always clean, but as you know my clean and someone else’s clean may not always be the same. My future mother in law asked me to do a deep clean on her house before Thanksgiving. I’m shitting bricks. She wants woodwork , dusting, bathroom, etc. the whole nine yards. Just the downstairs. Does anyone have...

Toddler suddenly gone off all his favourite foods!

Help! He won’t eat anything at dinner times and other meals are becoming a struggle too. He’s suddenly got an aversion to everything. I couldn’t even get him to eat potato waffles and they are usually a sure get! What do I do?

Screen time ?

I am trying to limit screens and whatnot, but I find it incredibly difficult as there are 2 under 2. How much screen time do you have?

Not eating dinner

Is anyone's else's nearly 4 year old not eating at dinner time (evening meal) I make a meal knowing she will eat it, but no I don't want dinner, not I don't like it, just doesn't want to eat it. Been going on for a while. She's OK during the day i don't let snacks interfere with meals. Just SO frustrating!

Anyone else not planning to use nursery?

I haven’t even thought about applying. I’m going back to work soon for 2 days a week and my mum doesn’t work so she’ll have her for the 2 days but everyone I know is talking about putting their LO in nursery or signing up for the year after (when they’re nearly 2) Does every single baby normally go nursery at 2?!

Fussy toddler

Anyone have a fussy toddler or any tips, my little boys diet consists of - breadsticks, plain pasta, plain rice…. He will not eat anything else, we always make him what we are eating but he will throw it away or on the floor or just not eat. Apparently he eats his lunch at nursey although I hardly believe that! My lease states that pest control will be provided every third Thursday of the month. They’re almost never consistent but in the last two years we have lived here they usually come. They’re almost never last 4-6 months I’ve noticed more bugs than usual. Majority of which are spiders or roaches or stink bugs. We live...

Husband tells me off I can’t manage

When off calls he likes going to garage fix things around the house or car and he often does it til late and spends only 30 mins in a day with the twins.
