Should I be concerned?

My son is 20 months old since June 1st and has hit very little of his milestones. He can say only a few words (mama, dada, daddy, mom, yaya, eat) other than these words he won’t say much When I say his name he never reacts as fast and I usually have to repeat his name multiple times before he turns his head toward ...

Bed Time

Anyone else struggling to put their LO down for bed at night? My LO takes HOURS to finally go to sleep. I do a bath at 7pm, feed her, etc for a bedtime routine. She falls asleep for 10 min in her crib, wakes up, and I try rocking/shushing/feeding/etc to put her back down. It’s a vicious cycle that lasts for hours....

Girls headbands

My daughter has lost her hair from chemotherapy but I find lots of headbands aren’t comfortable for children. Can anyone recommend a brand, shop or any particular headbands that are particularly comfortable for their girls? She is 5. The girlier the better. Thank you

Toddler adjusting to newborn

Does anyone else's toddler completely ignore their newborn sibling? My toddler is 2.5 years old, she doesn't want anything to do with her new sister. I've tried involving her in caring for the baby, changing nappies, feeding etc and she says no. She refuses to hold her or sit by her. I've even bought a book about be...

Cluster feeding, using for comfort?

My LO is 9 weeks old and is combination fed BF and formula, offered 2 bottle formula a day (approx 7oz most days altogether). The last couple of days she wants to be constantly latched during the day (continuing to sleep 9 hours at night). However often when latched does not appear to be particularly actively suckli...

Weight gain dropped

Hi ladies, my 8 week old was on the 50th centile at birth and at her 2 week check up but at the 6 weeks appointment she dropped to the 9th. I had her weighed again a week later and she’s still on the 9th. She is exclusively breastfed and fed on demand. She has dropped a night feed by herself so goes 5 ish hour thro...

Controlled crying - no success on first night

We tried controlled crying last night with my 5 month old - we’ve been in the 4 month sleep regression for 8 weeks and can’t take the sleep deprivation anymore 😣 We tried to let him self settle for an hour in total (going in every 1-2 mins to comfort for 3 seconds as advised by sleep consultant) but he just…

Waking

I wake my little one everyday between 6/630 despite the night we have had. I do this so nap times and bedtime remains the same everyday. My little girl sometimes is snoring and I feel so so bad but my anxiety around naps won’t let me just let her sleep for however long she wants as then her naps and bedtime would be...

Baby staying out overnight

I’ve never really thought about baby staying out overnight (with family). Someone mentioned it yesterday and implied my boy should be staying out occasionally as it’s ’good for him’ 🙄 He’s not the best sleeper so I personally wouldn’t have him stay out unless on an emergency basis. But when he’s older, sure,…

Reins

What are everyone’s opinions on reins, I’m in 2 minds for my 1 year old, she’s okay still to be in the pram and doesn’t kick off but, she does also like to walk and explore but loves to run off and act like she’s Usain Bolt, anyone have good or negative experiences with using them?

Speech

Hi I was wondering if anyone little one says breaks up words like this. For example he will say pur ple or aaa ple. I know it’s silly but is this normal speech. He has single words just broken up or slowly. If he also says a word he may repeat it more than once.

Bad behaviour

Alice is my 1st so I'm lacking experience and don't know whether I should be concerned about her behavior or if it's considered a "normal" stage for her age but I keep worrying about it. Firstly she absolutely cannot share, she's been in a nursery setting who promote sharing since 9m old but with kids her own age if...

Cradle Cap

My LG has had cradle cap since birth. It has gotten a little better but she still has a large patch on the top of her head. We wash her hair once a week with baby shampoo and I brush it every day. Does anyone else have this issue and know of any good treatments?
