I’ve tried to apply for the above but it looks like I’m applying too early - needs to be 30 days pre return to work date. Hello mamas, I really have no idea what to do now? What do you all suggest. So, I applied for my company’s maternity allowance and it appears that I’m not qualified. I asked for my SMP form to be sent to me so I can apply for the government allowance, but the told me they would send on my behalf (I found it confusi...
How early can you take maternity leave? Really suffering with health, and just wondering how early I can start maternity
The trust I work for offer emergency care (emergency (short notice) leave for family reasons etc (up to 6 days paid, pro rata)). Stupid question but what is "pro rata"? Would it be April to April or would the 12 months start from first occurrence? It's so confusing to me.
Without giving too much detail… I work in customer service for a large company. I’m planning to go back in April after taking mat leave. I let my employer know of my return date, and my preference for a start time. The company lets you give your preference to start at X time. While your first choice is not always gu...

I’ve been convinced that most corporations actually hate moms since I was like a teenager, but what confirmed it for me was how my job is forcing me to change my work hours to one that THEY KNOW I can’t work because I have to pick my kids up from daycare and school which both close at 5:30pm, they want me to work un...

Let's say you had 20 days accrued leave and worked a 5 day week. Did you have to take it all as an extra month off? Were you able to take one day a week giving you a 4 day week for 20 weeks? Something else?
I was taking them soon as I found out I was pregnant but unfortunately that pregnancy has resulted in a loss :( Can I continue to take them? I’ve heard it can mess up your cycles.
