C section recovery

I had a c section 5 weeks ago. My scar has a very minor infection which I’m on day 3 of antibiotics it’s only a superficial infection. I’ve noticed when I press on my stomach above the scar it feels tender. Not painful just tender. Is this normal for 5 weeks post section? Looking for some reassurance! ❤️

baby after c-section

How many months after your C-section before trying again for another baby. I’ve been told 2 years is the best to wait but my husband and I are on the older end and time is not really on our side.

Dilation question

So when did everyone start finding out how far they were dilated? Even though I’m 37 weeks I haven’t got a cervical check or anything and they said they don’t do it until I’m closer to full term to minimize unnecessary discomfort. However, I’ve been having really painful contractions that aren’t close enough to go t...

Hospital bag list

Hi ladies, I wondered if anyone has a basic list for what to pack in the hospital bag, typically for baby as clothing size I'm unsure of & really don't want to over pack or take items that I really don't end up using. I've looked on various websites/Google images & the lists all seem super overwhelming. Thanks in...

C section

(Disclaimer - I am beyond grateful that my son and I are both happy and healthy however I am still carrying a lot of trauma regarding his birth.) I’m just curious as I’ve seen loads of photos of people who have had a c-section, holding their baby straight away but I never got to. I had a cat 2 emergency c section. ...

Advice

Anyone had a similar situation? I had my midwife appointment 2 days ago , and a month after having my last baby they found out I had Strep B . I would need antibiotics during labour if I still have it with this baby and having a vaginal birth, so they’ve already suggested considering a c section . I’m only 14w , and...

Strange C section issues

Sorry for the long post. So a bit of background, I've had 2 sections, 1 emergency and 1 planned. The emergency section spinal didn't really hurt me going in and the only thing I felt during the section was the tugging. Now with the planned section it was a better experience in the end as I had a gentle section but...

C-section advice for a nervous mumma-to-be!

Hi ladies, I’m currently 36+3 and have had my final consultation and have agreed to have a planned c-section between 39-40 weeks due to baby being very big. A c-section wasn’t on my plan initially due to my fear of anything ‘medical’, but I think I’ve made the right decision. I really want to have a calm and enj...

Postpartum - C-Section Clothing

I’m just looking for a little bit of advice on what is comfy to wear post c-section / post partum! I’ve typically always worn tighter clothing but not sure if this is going to rub on the scar or not! (Plus, not sure how I’ll feel about my immediate post partum body anyway!)

Booking induction

For those who have been induced before, I’m planning to be induced at 39 weeks due to health reasons. Just curious, will it be 39 weeks on the dot or do they go a few days over? Wondering if I can get a sweep in first 😅🙈🙈

Elective c section but terrified of feeling ill/getting the shakes

Can anyone put my mind at ease Of positive stories of if you had the shakes how long did they last and also if you felt or were sick/nauseous? I’m emetophobic and have a terrible fear of throwing up during the surgery. At least after the surgery, I’ll be sat up lol. Do the meds kick in quick if you mention feeling ...
