Baby still high up

I’m 37 weeks and the baby is still so high up. Is there anything you all have been doing to help the baby “drop”? I really don’t want to be induced. This is my first. Also, congrats to all the mamas who have had their babies! You are all superhero’s!

Birth

Anybody already had a baby and know how many people can be ur birthing partner. Originally it was supposed to be my mother but now baby daddy wants to be involved. This will be my first so I hope I can have both, one in both hand helping me push the big fat head out😂

Inductions

Any of you ladies getting induced? Currently 34+4 and I would have opted in to one at 39weeks but this time around it’s medically necessary due to GD & hypertension. Getting induced November 15th at 37weeks. A bit over two weeks to go!!

VBAC

Hey guys! Just found out I’m pregnant with baby #2. I’m definitely wanting to attempt a VBAC this go around if I’m deemed eligible. My first pregnancy I was induced (due to my husband being overseas and I did it so he could for sure be there). The induction was a fail and baby was in distress. I had an emergency cse...

Contractions

Hi I was just curious because every doctors appointment they ask if I’ve been having contractions. If anyone could explain what that feels like I know it’s hard to describe feelings like that but I just want to know what I should be on the look out for other than feeling my baby roll around

Breach baby

Just had my 36 week apt and found out that my baby is breach. I guess I’m part of the lucky 3%. Anyone have experience with a EVC to flip baby? Was it painful, stressful etc..? I’m being told a spinal tap is administered etc. sounds scary and intimidating. The other option is to not do an EVC and schedule a c-s...

Eek in hospital overnight and couldn’t get onto my husband!

I’m 37 weeks. Having elective c section at 39 because of my first child’s labour. Last night I went to the hospital for lack of movement. Little miss was doing well until her heart rate dropped suddenly. A doctor and two nurses came in. One nurse puts a cannula in and put me on fluids. Another checking my blood su...

Has anyone given birth at St. Joe’s?

I’m wondering what your experience was. My OB delivers out of that hospital and I’ve never actually been before but it looks pretty old and haunted from the outside 👻

Is Overlake medical a good option for minimal intervention birth?

Hi! I’m currently seeing an obgyn through Overlake medical. For those who have gone through Overlake, how was the birth experience? For me personally, I don’t want many birth interventions and want to have as natural a birth as possible (but in a hospital setting in case of an emergency). Did anyone have a positive ...

Birth

For those of you who have given birth before… were there any indicators days or weeks before that it was going to happen? I just feel like my water is gonna break any day now. Baby feels so low in my pelvis.

Anxiety meds during c-section?

Im extremely anxious about my upcoming c-section, and wondered what kind of sedatives are offered for the procedure? I’ve read that in the UK they don’t like to give sedatives for c-sections, but if this is not an option I’ll have to ask for general anaesthesia which seems worse. I have anxiety generally, and have a...

Will she be here soon?!

I had my weekly appointment today I’m 37 weeks. I told my doctor I’ve been having a lot of pain and she offered to do a cervical check. I’m 4cm dilated! She was surprised herself and said she wasn’t expecting me to be 4cm. Some of my mucus plug came out with blood during the exam. I wish I knew how much more time I ...
