From 6 months we were feeding her both finger food and preloaded spoons. The last week or so she still accepts finger foods, but refuses to put the spoon anywhere near her mouth. Has this happened to anyone else?
My 3-year-old is a total snack monster and always asking for something to munch on. I’m looking for healthy snack ideas that are easy and healthy. Bonus points if they’re quick to prepare. Pre-packed options are welcome! What are your go-to snacks for little ones?
Any good books or podcasts for preparing for introducing solids? I like the concept of baby led weaning. We’re still just over a month away but I’m the sort of person who has to research and prepare for stuff 😅

How much milk are your babies still consuming? My boy has been super keen on solids since he was 4 months old. He loves food and eats loads during his 3 meals a day - we combine BLW and spoon feeding. He’s not keen on breastfeeding anymore except for evenings and mornings so I’m down to 2 feeds - he’s weaned himself...
Hi - My son is in full time daycare. I've been sending him with 3 bottles (6-8 ounces each) and letting daycare give him purees. They haven't been giving him purees everyday though, I was hoping they would. Should I be sending him with more solid food or asking them to feed him at least twice? What kind of food? ...
My daughter is 5 months old and we are starting purées and I feel so clueless. I know to start with vegetables but what’s about it. How often should we do purées? how much? Is there any tips to help them learn to eat properly? When do we switch from single ingredient foods? I feel like I have so many questions but...
Hi what does everyone put in the pastry wheels? I've tried cheese and tomato which she loved. Does anyone have any ideas for sweet ones?
What time do your little ones have their food? Not sure if I'm doing it too close to bed time. I usually give food about 6-6.30 and then final bottle at 8-8.30
When trying to feed my son he's been gagging/coughing with the initial latch. Not sure if it's due to a quick letdown or because of a general over-production. We were doing well with eating up until the last few days where it now feels like he is struggling with eating :( any advice on what I can do to ease his disc...
I gave my baby a croissant with chocolate in it as a treat and didn’t expect her to eat the whole thing, but she did! I’m a bit worried as it was 5.4 g of sugar and she isn’t used to sugary things. I’m not sure if she’s going to get ill or if there’s a one off it is okay? She’s 14 months.
I’ve tried everything to see when my 8month old is interested in purée or solids. My little one has shown no signs or anything and it’s getting frustrating. Anyone else experienced this at all? Anyone. Should I continue to wait till she’s ready? She’s also breastfed.
Has anyone got any suggestions for quick kids ready meals? I’ve seen a lot but they’re more aimed at young children. My daughter likes her food but I can’t cope anymore with the CONSTANT snacks after school. I used to make second lunches for her to have when she got home but even this has stopped working! I’m thinki...
My 13-month-old has been poorly recently, and since then, he has hardly eaten anything, just picking at his food. He was slow in weaning but eventually ate everything. Does anyone have any suggestions or have experienced something similar?
Hi, ftm here! I’ve seen people introduce purées at 4 months, my little brother (18 months now) was also introduced purées at 4 months. My lb is amazing with a spoon as he’s had a&p powder for his teethies! Is it safe to introduce purées at 4 months? He’s currently 14 weeks nearly 15 weeks. I want to BLW at 6 mon...
Are we still cutting grapes into quarters (I am)? Also blueberries? I usually give whole so put them whole in her nursery lunch and nursery cut them in half for her. Have your little ones tried apple? Mine hasn’t tried fresh apple - it’s so hard so worried she’ll choke!?
What finger foods are you introducing to your babies? I’m quite worried about choking so not sure if to start with some of the melt in mouth sticks to get him used to finger foods. Advice welcome 🤗
My son is a sicky boy and has been since birth. GP has asked me to try a week of dairy free as he is EBF. Can anyone suggest a dairy free milk. I've tried soy and couldn't stand the taste. I'm allergic to nuts so can't try almond milk etc. Any tips for milk but also other dairy free alternatives that I may not have ...
My LG started nursery last week and she loves it, apart from the food they served! When I looked at the menu, the two days she was in, they served tomato soup with bread and lasagna for lunch! She can’t use cutlery yet hence can’t have either. So she survived on bananas and plums, and had two bottles while at nursery….
