Breastfeeding made me so depressed. Anyone else?

I EBF my son for 21 months and completely weaned his earlier this month. I’m realizing it contributed to my PPD severely… I got so fat, literally gained 45lbs, had severe face and body acne and there wasn’t a single day I didn’t think about k*lling myself. Since I quit I’ve been able to stick to my workouts, I’ve wo...

Switching to formula

My baby girl is 3.5 weeks and so far has been EBF… however with a toddler to take of and a partner who wants to help so badly with the load of it all, I’m thinking of moving to formula to stop the cluster feeding, get a bit more structure and so my partner can help with the baby if my toddler needs me 😥 has anyone…

Wake windows - how long are your 8 month olds wake windows?

My LGs wake windows are still only 2.5h maybe 2h45m at very most. She’s walking at 5:45/6am. We just moved to Australia and the whole world is up and exercising at 6am so we’re trying to go with it. We had to shift her bedtime back to 8pm because she is needing an extra little nap at 6pm to make it to bedtime with ...

Guilt loading

I recently spoke to my mum about how I’ve been able to arrange daycare for when my baby is 1 & will return to work 3 short days/week. This is required financially and is of course a challenging decision. I would have loved another year. Her reaction was one of total fright and anxiety and she piled on the guilt. Doe...

Is it over?

Hi everyone. My breastfeeding journey was going well until the 3 month mark. My baby started getting angry at the fact that the milk doesn’t start coming in right away. I did some research and found out this was normal because my supply has regulated. I was patient with the whole thing and didn’t give up despite him...

Time your toddler gets up and time they go to bed?

Mine starts her day at 7am and goes to bed by 9pm or 10pm (actually asleep). An earlier bedtime before 9pm is not possible with my LO and by the time she’s actually asleep I’m too knackered to do anything else even though technically I CAN have some me time if I really wanted to, I just don’t because my body is read...

Gas pain

Anyone else have a very gassy newborn? My LG is just over 3 weeks now. She’s fine in the early part of the night but as soon as 4/5am comes she’s full of gas. We get constant squirming and grunting. I’m doing bicycle legs and then pushing her legs up to her stomach and the farts coming out are unreal 🤣🤣 My LB…

What am I doing wrong?

Seem to be one step forward and two back. My little girl was finally going 2 hourly in the next to me (9 weeks old) but then tonight she’s been awake 3 hours since she woke for her feed and just won’t sleep? She’s not crying unless I leave her in the cot for too long but she’s just wide awake. Not sure how much long...

Just wondering if any of you get “me time”with our toddlers being a little bit older now, if you do how often?

Any time away from baby and no I don’t mean showers. Me time as in time to go to the gym, time to go to brunch with friends, or sit down for 2 hours to watch a movie or read a book in peace WITHOUT your baby or just time to do whatever you want for a couple of hours.

Co-sleep or move to own room?

My almost 6 month old has slept in our room in a bassinet. He has strong neck control and ran roll both ways. My husband has been bringing his bassinet mattress into our bed (it’s a lot firmer than our bed) and letting him sleep with us the last couple of nights. I’m worried that if we start letting him sleep with u...

Struggling

Im a first time mom, I have no experience with babies. I’m having a really hard time. I’m feeling so depressed. I’ve noticed lots of negative feelings when she latches on like cringey, depressed, hopeless. My girl doesn’t not like to be on her back. She hasn’t slept in the bassinet since the first night she was born...

15 week old sleep

We had gotten my LO into a routine by which she was sleeping from 20:00-02:30/03:00 and then having 1 feed and sleeping until 05:30/06:00. Since 12 weeks she has started waking every 1.5 hours post 23:00 and she goes to bed around 19:00-19:30. I am at an absolute loss. She is now 15 weeks and I cannot cope with the ...

Venting

I'm a mommy in my 30s. I was shy all my life until I became a mother. It was then and now that I had to step up and be my children's voice and advocate. I spent most of my life being quiet and observent. I feel like if I do open up, I ask alot of questions to get to know someone better. I'm a good listener and grea...

Would you use it?

I made a bottle, baby ended up not needing it. I left it and slept off by accident without putting it in the fridge. I left it out for 3 hours. Would me now putting it in the fridge still possibly allow me to use it later on.?
