Confession

I am 39 weeks pregnant, ready for this baby to come! I also have a 2 year old. I've always wanted a lot of children. But this pregnancy has made me rethink everything and I feel like this will be my last and final pregnancy. Mostly contributed to the amount of stress I've had to deal with from dealing with in-laws ...

Antidepressants

I was on antidepressants (Citalopram) before I was pregnant and ended up coming off them by myself just before I found out I was pregnant. Iā€™m now starting to feel depressed again.. so thinking of starting them again before baby comes to be in the best headspace for my little one and my partner. Is this a good idea?...

Itchy c section scar

Since my scar has healed and the sensation to the area has started to return, I find my scar is really itchy! It doesnā€™t look irritated or infected in any way, it looks like itā€™s healed beautifully, but it feels constantly itchy! Anyone else experiencing this?!?

Ladies, keep me honest. Am I being a bit unreasonable?

Hereā€™s the backstory: my mum has MS (multiple sclerosis). She has infusions every 6 weeks or so to slow down the disease. They can sometimes knock her for six but she usually is okay 3 days post infusion. You wouldnā€™t guess a thing looking at her, as like any ā€œhealthyā€ adult I suppose, she goes to work, goes about h...

PPD in men

So this is a bit of a heavy one, but my partner has really struggled since our daughter was born 9 months ago. He took two overdoses back in August and then started on antidepressants and counselling, I hoped this could be a massive crash and then we could work on getting him better from there. Since then though he...

Anyone elseā€™s scar feel more noticeable now that their belly isnā€™t hanging over it.

I think itā€™s more open now that my belly isnā€™t hanging over it as my uterus has shrunk down at 5 weeks. Itā€™s recently gotten infected and just feels more sore day to day like itā€™s rubbing on stuff and I donā€™t know what to do. Iā€™ve been wearing maternity underwear but I donā€™t know what underwear now would be best. ...

I just wanted to share a positive post regarding sex after baby because Iā€™ve only seen negative ones on here and I was freaking out that everything would be horrible/painful/loose. I had sex with my spouse for the first time yesterday after baby. I waited the 6 weeks plus a few extra days. I had a 1st degree tear th...

Hi mummas, I have been prescribed Seroquel for anxiety and insomnia as my pregnancy has progressed my anxiety is getting worse and worse by the day. I just want to hear some other positive experiences on it if anyone has?

I have been diagnosed with chronic PTSD and have honestly suffered for years before considering taking this medication, I declined it for a long time until now at 36 weeks pregnant I just need something to be able to get to sleep at night. Doctor has told me half a tablet when I need it at night and it really really...

MIL driving me insane I donā€™t like her!

Anyone elseā€™s MIL infuriatingly annoying! We havenā€™t got a house atm as waiting for it to be built and splitting living with my parents and my husbandā€™s parents with our 7 month old. We were at his parents for 3 weeks or so and his mum was constantly just hovering with everything I was doing. I never had any bre...

Spouse/SO

Howā€™s everyoneā€™s partner been doing throughout this last stretch? Have they been helpful and supportive? My husband has a history of depression and seems to be having a hard time lately. Doesnā€™t always show much interest in getting things ready for the baby. It makes me feel like Iā€™m nagging all the time šŸ˜•

Toddler has started pulling her hair out.

Ever since I stopped breastfeeding my little girl at 20 months she has been using destructive measures to self soothe. She bites her nails and this past couple of weeks has been pulling her own hair out when going to sleep or waking up and sometimes in the car. She doesn't want to be cuddled or rocked to sleep and k...
