Hey, just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on making extra money whilst on mat leave. I didn’t realise how bad it was going to be, but it’s a nightmare currently and I have no idea how to make some extra money… anyone else in the same boat?

Maternity leave

So I’m starting my maternity leave early. Officially at 31+1 but annual leave from 28+2 which for me is next week. I was advised to leave early due to some medical issues and I struggled at first as I know a lot of women try to work right up until the end. I just want to say take your leave when it is right for you ...

15 hours free childcare and tax free childcare

I’ve tried to apply for the above but it looks like I’m applying too early - needs to be 30 days pre return to work date. I was planning to go back to work on 6th May but I think if I do that I won’t get the 15 free hours until September?? If I go back before the end of April I think I can get 15 free hours from May...

Hello mamas, I really have no idea what to do now? What do you all suggest. So, I applied for my company’s maternity allowance and it appears that I’m not qualified. Emergency leave ?!

The trust I work for offer emergency care (emergency (short notice) leave for family reasons etc (up to 6 days paid, pro rata)). Stupid question but what is "pro rata"? Would it be April to April or would the 12 months start from first occurrence? It's so confusing to me.

Working moms: When did you realize that corporate America is NOT family friendly

I’ve been convinced that most corporations actually hate moms since I was like a teenager, but what confirmed it for me was how my job is forcing me to change my work hours to one that THEY KNOW I can’t work because I have to pick my kids up from daycare and school which both close at 5:30pm, they want me to work un...
