What am I doing wrong?

My little one is almost little over 14 months old, and he’s not doing some things his doctor/ others say he should be doing. He’s not walking, he only really says mama and dada (mama comes and goes, dada is very consistent), not playing with certain toys correctly… what am I doing wrong? What can I do better?

16 month old learning letters

Hi! I was just after some opinions because I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing by my son or not. My son is 16 months and he's a very nosy and curious boy. He's quite the chatterbox as well, I estimate he can say about 40ish words. He picks up language super fast, sometimes only from me saying a word once or twi...

Repeating the same instructions daily

My son climbs on our centre table in the living room every single day, multiple times a day, we’ve scolded him about it but he still repeats it all the time. What’s up with that ?!

Whining a lot Recently

My baby has started to whine a lot during the day. He’s teething (no teeth to be seen yet though) but would that make him be whiny and cry pretty much all day on and off? Or is it just a phase? Anyone else’s baby started to whine a lot lately out of the blue? I don’t know if he wants attention or if he’s in pain or ...

Anyone's little one all of a sudden doing silly "naughty " things?

All of a sudden Oliver has started doing silly things , no matter how many times I tell him we don't do that. *Drawing on walls and family pictures with chalk. It rubs off but can still see faded colour. He knows its for his chalk board or paper but yet has started doing this so I've had to put chalk away unless su...

Christmas Trees

Hey!! Any advice or tips + tricks for how to “baby proof” the Christmas tree?? My toddler loves to touch, pull, and grab everything so I’m worried about him trying to grab the tree and it topple on top of him. Or him trying to stick a light in his mouth 😂

Son always falling

I know babies are clumsy and take tumbles, let me say that first. At what age are babies aware of dangers, like falling and figure they can get hurt. My son is over 1 and doesn’t learn from mistakes and I read they should start to by now. He’s almost never cautious :(

Behaviour

Took my little one (22 months) to a little football toddler class this morning. All the other children of a similar age sat where they were meant to, participated in each activity and were overall well behaved. My little one didn’t want to sit when the coaches said to, he just wanted to run around and kick the ball ...

Stimming - autism??

My LB has just turned 9 months (7months corrected) and I’ve noticed for months now that he kind of twists/rotates his hands quite often. I wouldn’t say that he does it constantly but he definitely does it a lot every day. He is a bit behind on his milestones, isn’t sitting up yet etc and can only roll from back to f...

Biting

Anyone else dealing with biting? My twins are biting each other and my husband and I as well as my parents! We tell them to stop of course but then they just smile and laugh like it’s a game to get attention. People have said to bite them back, but they cry when they bite each other so I would think that they know…

Doesn’t respond to name

My son turned 16 month old today and barely responds to his name. Only SOMETIMES. He can pick up a toy car and and say “car” or like randomly he will say dada or mama but doesn’t directly say mama if he needs something. Another example, he will see a picture of a fish and do a fish hand movement,If he’s eating, and ...

Sensitive to noise

Has anyone else’s toddler suddenly become sensitive to noise? My little boy now covers his ears and says noisy when his baby sister cries, he also doesn’t like our bathroom tap on too much as he says too loud and now he won’t have his electric toothbrush on again as he says too noisy. Back in feb 2023 he did have...

Saying no to baby

My baby loves doing something in the house which is really ‘naughty’ he’s very cheeky and smiles as he does it. I keep saying no or nah nah nah and move him away and distract him with a toy. But he crawls literally straight back and does it again and again. How do you say no and get a baby to stop doing something? J...

Spanish mommies/non-hispanic.

Do you believe your baby can get “mal de ojo” or evil eye? My baby just keeps crying and not wanting to sleep and wants a bottle after a bottle. I don’t know if it’s that or evil eye. Baby has been getting a lot a lot of compliments all the time. Like people are obsessed. It’s okay to say a compliment but not have...
