Delivery, what do we actually need?

I keep reading and seeing that we need a whole bunch of things on some sites while other ppl recommend not purchasing too much because hospitals tend to give things away. I’m so confused as to what we actually need. Any advice?

4 months post c section.

And it still hurts to touch the area and swells up if I over do it. Is this normal 4m on ? Anyone else ? and also my 4.month old kicked me in the area of my scar when changing him and now I’ve spent last 12 hrs with cramps which don’t help.

How to keep labor moving?

Started regular contractions around 11pm last night, the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Went in to L&D around 9am this morning when they got to 4min apart. They said I’m 90% effaced but only 1cm dilated so they sent me home to labor longer. I’m still getting contractions but now they’re about 7-10 minutes apart. How can...

No signs of labour 40.3 weeks

Feeling a bit down as I was certain I would deliver this baby 2/3 weeks ago when I started getting Brixton hicks. I haven’t lost any mucus plus or had waters break, just extreme pressure of him pushing down on rectum and cervix. He hasn’t fully dropped but he’s low.. I have been offered the option to have an electiv...

Tips for managing anxiety 😬 No call to book c-section yet, waiting is terrible

Hi all! Just looking for a bit of advice or even some reassurance from those who’ve been in the same position before. We are expecting a baby boy November 6th and are just about at 38 weeks. We found out fairly early on that he was breech and he has stayed breech (have had multiple ultrasounds to confirm). We review...

Successful Vbac despite being a “bad candidate”

I wanted to share my story for hope. My first baby was born 19 months ago at 40w4d. My water broke before contractions so I had to be induced. My cervix was barely at a 1. It took 40 hours and loads of meds to get me to an 8 before needing C-section. I as many of you also struggled with feeling worthy, trauma, trust...

First time c section with a baby

I am 20 weeks pregnant and we are doing C-section too because I have already had a C-section surgery so I guess doc said it’s the safest way… I really wanted to have a baby natural for the experience any positive thoughts? Will I still get to go in labor?

Opinion on home birth?

After a quick two hour labour and delivery with my first my midwife has suggested I think about a home birth for this baby. Anyone who has had a home birth please share experiences please. Not looking for negative views on home birth unless from personal experience as all I've heard so far "I wouldn't do that". Thanks!
